Jodhpur city is located on the edge of Thar Desert of Rajasthan.Jodhpur was founded by in 1459 by Rajput king Rao Jodha. On the name of Rao Jodha the city got its name Jodhpur. Jodhpur is famous for its culture , tradition , Language  and magnifcient forts and Palaces .Jodhpur Heritage walk tour is designed in such a way that you can use your time to explore the most beautiful streets , Temples , Local Market and can also interact with the local peoples.This heritage walk is the best combination of  tradition and local visits of Jodhpur. During this tour you will interact with local families and can test the local foods also.

Start Point: Mehran Garh fort

End Point : Ghanta Ghar

Mehrangarh fort  Jodhpur was build by Raj Jodha around 1460. This fort is the largest fort in India and it is located  410 feet (125 m) above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls.There are seven gates of  this  fort  most famous gates are known as Jayapol, Fattehpol, Dedh Kamgra Pol, Loha Pol.Our Heritage  walk will start from the fateh pol and will end at Ghanta Ghar (The clock tower). During this heritage walk we will cover all the places as discribed below:

Fateh Pol: Here the “Fateh” mean victory and the “Pol ” mean is gate i.e the victory gate. This gate was build by Maharaja Ajit Singh over the  victory of Mughals in 1707.

Rani Sar: This is a lake and it   was build by princesses of Jodhpur  .It was used to bath and drinking  on special occasions.

Padam Sar: This is a water reservoir it was  Built by Mr. Padamsar, Minister in Mehrangarh Fort.It was used  for  drinking by the local peoples.           

Jeta Bera: This is a water well. Earlier it was used only by Royal family but now it is opened for all.

Chand Bawari: The chand bawari is a stepwell. Earlier it was used for drinking water  local people.

Gundi Ka Mohhala:  This is an old residiential area. Here you will see the old architecture of Jodhpur.

Jaisalmerio ki Gali:

Sarafa Bazar: It is the famous market of Jodhpur. It is famous for Gold Jewlery ,Jam Stone , and Artificial Jewlery  etc.

Katla Bazar: This market is famous for trdaitional drasses, cosmetic items , Jodhpuri Jooti (Shoes) , Lakh bangles etc.

Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower): This clock Towe was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1911. By the name of Maharaja this market got its name “Sardar Market”.This market is famous for its unique collection of for antiques items, cloth market, grain market, vegetable market, bangles shop etc.Most of the tourists choose this market to purchase suvonier of Jodhpur.

You will also cover famous temples like Achleshwar Mahadev Temple ,  Kunj Bihari Temple , Gangshyam ji Temple and many more.
